Beautiful inside and out, Carolyn Murphy has served as muse for legends such as Steven Meisel and Peter Lindbergh. For Neptune, she stars in a series of look by designer Tory Burch styled by Daytona Williams accompanying a profile of the designer by writer Aimee Farrell. “I’ve always been intrigued by women. That has been my north star.” Says Burch. Rather than designing clothes for herself, she has an instinctive sense of what works for others. “I’m interested in how something can make you feel from an emotional standpoint. What you wear can change your perspective, your confidence and how you feel about yourself.” Her goal with every garment is simply: How do we make women own their power? And her belief in their capacities is limitless. “Women are the answer to so much in life.”
Carolyn Murphy wears Tory Burch and is photographed by Carissa Gallo at Seventh House Gallery.
